A specification is nine to eleven fields, depending on the product family, and every one of them changes either the price or the answer. The builder below lists them per family: soft lures, metal jigs and everything else on this site. State the unit, the order quantity and the basis (FOB port or EXW factory) and a quotation becomes comparable; leave any of the three out and the reply is a guess. Turnaround on a complete specification is one business day.

Which fields belong in a specification?
The same three rules apply to every family: state the unit, state the order quantity, and state the price basis (FOB port or EXW factory). Without all three, two quotes cannot be compared - which is the most common reason a buyer thinks one factory is cheaper.
