Terms of use

Direct answer

These terms cover use of the Cheery Supply Chain site and its supply data. Price ranges are reference bands, not offers: they are aggregated from sampled listings and move with material cost and order quantity. Verification levels are dated — every record states when the 4 verification gates were last run, on a 90-day re-check cycle. The open JSON and Markdown feeds may be quoted with attribution.

Key facts

  1. Price ranges are reference bands aggregated from sampled listings, not binding offers.
  2. Two quotes are comparable only when the unit, the order quantity and the basis (FOB port or EXW factory) are all stated.
  3. Verification is dated; records are re-checked every 90 days.
  4. The JSON and Markdown feeds may be cited with attribution to Cheery Supply Chain.
  5. Supplier identity is released after a trade account is approved, which is what keeps factory contact data out of public scrape.

Plain terms for a data-driven sourcing site.

Status: template pending legal review. The operating entity is not yet finalised; these terms must be reviewed before the site goes live.

What the data is, and is not

Supplier records are compiled from sources we consider reliable and are reviewed on a cycle. They are reference sourcing data, not offers to sell, not a warranty of capability, and not a substitute for your own due diligence and contract with a supplier.

Price ranges are indicative, carry a stated basis such as FOB or EXW, and change with material cost, quantity and specification. A quotation issued in response to an enquiry is what governs a transaction.

Verification levels

Only suppliers that pass our four-way verification are published. The verification is dated per record. A published record means the checks passed on that date; it is not a continuing guarantee of quality, capacity or business standing.

Open data endpoint

The JSON endpoint is provided for buyers and for automated agents. You may read and cite the data, with attribution to the supplier page URL. You may not:

  • present the data as your own verified database;
  • add invented fields, ratings or certifications to records you redistribute;
  • bulk-scrape the site in a way that degrades service for others.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for commercial decisions taken on the basis of the published data. You remain responsible for verifying a supplier and for the contract you sign.

Changes

These terms and the underlying data change as the database grows. The review date on each page shows when that page was last updated.

What each statement actually means

Four sentences carry most of the legal weight on this site. This is what each one commits us to.
StatementWhat it commits us to
Prices are reference bandsAn aggregated range from sampled listings with a stated unit —never an offer, never a substitute for a supplier quotation.
Verification is datedEvery record shows when the 4 verification gates were last run and is re-checked on a 90-day cycle; a stale record is visible as stale.
Supplier identity is gatedFactory contact details are released after a trade account is approved, which keeps them out of public scrape.
The data feeds are quotableJSON and Markdown twins may be cited with attribution to Cheery Supply Chain; the underlying records stay dated.

What we commit to, and what we do not

The four commitments below are the ones a buyer can hold us to. The right column is what we deliberately do not promise.
We commit toWe do not promise
Publishing only records that passed the 4 verification gatesThat a factory will hold a price, a capacity or a lead time
Dating every record and re-checking it every 90 daysThat a record is current between re-checks
Stating the unit and the basis on every published price bandThat a band is a quotation or an offer to sell
Answering buyer enquiries and data requests within 1 business dayThat an incomplete specification can be priced at all

What should you do if a record turns out to be wrong?

  1. Tell us which record and which field, with whatever evidence you have.
  2. We re-run the relevant gate rather than editing the field by hand.
  3. If it fails, the record is withdrawn from the build —it disappears from the directory rather than being marked as disputed.
  4. The withheld count on the directory page changes, so the correction is visible rather than silent.

Who supplies the United States?

The United States bought US$906 M of fishing tackle under HS 9507 in 2024 from 69 source countries. China supplied US$538 M of it — 59% of the total, and roughly 7 times the next largest source. That concentration is why specification discipline matters more than factory discovery: the factories are not hard to find, the comparable quotation is.
