What is a sabiki rig?
Short answer
A sabiki, also called a flasher or fish skin rig, is a pre-tied string of small hooks. Each hook sits on its own short dropper line, and the droppers are tied to a longer leader roughly 15 cm apart, with a weight at the bottom.

The dressed hooks imitate a small school of baitfish or shrimp, so a fish that snaps at one hook is often caught on several at once. Wikipedia puts the usual hook count between six and ten.
