How to send a requirement that can be quoted
Four fields decide whether a first enquiry produces a quotation or a question. Send them and the reply is a number; leave one out and the reply is a request for it, which costs a round trip that a programme rarely has to spare.

Two further details are optional and worth sending anyway. Your timeline, because it decides whether new tooling is feasible at all — a first order needing a mould runs ten to fourteen weeks, against seven to nine on existing tooling. And any constraint you already know about, such as a packaging format your channel requires or a colourway standard you sell against, because discovering those after sampling is the most expensive way to find them.
Where a field is genuinely unknown, say so and name it. A partial specification with its gaps stated can be worked with; one with silent gaps produces a quote built on assumptions nobody wrote down, and the second version of that quote is never comparable with the first.
What happens next
- We check whether the specification maps to a verified supplier record.
- If it does, we come back with a reference price range, the basis, MOQ and lead time.
- If it does not, we tell you which part of the specification is not yet covered by verified data — and, where you want us to, we go and verify it.
