A trade account is for buyers who are actually placing orders. It unlocks the commercial detail we deliberately keep off the public pages — and it exists mainly so factories are not quoted against by people who never buy. What exactly does a trade account unlock? Field by field — what is public, and what opens with an approved account. Item Public site With a trade account Reference price Range shown as "on request" where the factory considers it sensitive Full range per verified supplier, with the unit, the quantity it applies to and the basis (FOB port or EXW factory) Capacity Summary only Monthly capacity for the specification you are buying, plus tooling and mould constraints Factory identity Cluster and county Named factory with business contact details, so you can see who you would actually be ordering from Evidence Summary links on the profile Full evidence list per field: registration, export records, certifications, interview date Samples Self-service request We request, chase and consolidate samples, and tell you what changed between sample and production Quotation Not available A written quotation against a real factory and a stated basis, with MOQ, lead time, tooling and validity Updates Public pages Quarterly cluster and price-band updates for the families you buy Response Standard enquiry queue A named contact for your category, answering within one business day Do you qualify? Check these before applying — it saves you a round trip: Typical approvals Importers and distributors with an established sales channel Brands running private-label or OEM programmes — including tooling and colourway development Procurement teams and sourcing agents buying on behalf of a named buyer Procurement software and AI agents acting for a verified buyer What we decline, and why Requests to resell our database as a competing directory — our data is the product, not inventory. Unverifiable companies or applications from free mailbox addresses with no company presence. Contact-list requests with no stated buying requirement. We are not a lead list. Requests for prices without a quantity and an Incoterm — no useful answer exists. We would rather decline and explain than approve and regret. Declines state the criterion that was not met. How we handle your company data Buyers ask this before they ask about price, so it belongs above the form: Not sold, not shared between buyers. Your enquiry goes to the factories we match for that requirement, and nowhere else. Not used as a demand signal to factories you did not ask us to approach. No marketing without a separate opt-in. A trade account is not a newsletter subscription. Confidential prices stay confidential. Quotation data is not published, and is not shown to other accounts. Deletion on request. Ask and we delete the account data; see the privacy notice . We check the company, the website and the stated requirement against what we actually cover. If something is missing we say which field. One short call. Ten minutes to confirm who you buy for and how you buy. No sales pitch — if we cannot serve the requirement, we say so on the call. Account activated. You receive the price-range access, the capacity detail and a named contact for your category. First quotation. Usually within two business days of a complete specification — with basis, MOQ, lead time and tooling stated. What does an account unlock, in numbers? What changes between browsing and an approved account. Nothing about the published data changes —only access to factory identity and quotation support. We review the application against the qualification criteria —business type, destination market and expected volume. We reply within 1 business day with either a decision or the specific field that is missing. On approval, factory identity is released for the categories you buy, and quotations can be raised against your specification. Your company details stay in the enquiry store; the privacy notice covers what is held and how to have it deleted. What qualifies an account, and what does not? Qualifies: importers, distributors, private-label brands, retail chains buying to sell. Qualifies: buyers with a specification and a destination market. Does not qualify: requests for a factory contact list without an order intent. Does not qualify: resellers of supplier data. Does not qualify: applications without a verifiable business identity. What are you agreeing to when you apply? That you use factory identity to buy, not to resell as data. That you keep the privacy notice terms for the details you send. That you will tell us if a record turns out to be wrong. That a quotation is between you and the factory; we coordinate, we do not underwrite it. What does an account change in practice? Factory identity: withheld without an account, released with one. Quotation turnaround: 1 business day against your specification. Application review: 1 business day, with the missing field named if incomplete. Categories covered: the 3 clusters and the sub-types you register for. Re-check cycle: 90 days either way —an account does not make data fresher. What can you price once an account is approved? The bands below are visible either way; an approved account adds the factory behind them and a quotation against your specification. Frequently asked questions Is the trade account really free? Yes, and there is no listing fee for factories either during the pilot. We earn when an enquiry becomes an order we place and manage, so an account that never produces a serious enquiry is worth nothing to us. What happens if my application is declined? We tell you which criterion was not met. The usual reasons are an unverifiable company, a request to resell our database as a competing directory, or a request for factory contact lists with no stated buying requirement. You can reapply once the missing piece exists. Can I share the account with my colleagues? Yes, within your own company. What we ask is that price data and factory contact details are not passed to third parties or used to quote against the same factory through another channel — that is the behaviour that gets accounts closed. Do you show my enquiries to competing buyers or to factories I did not approach? No. Your enquiry goes to the factories we are matching for that specific requirement. We do not publish enquiries, we do not share them between buyers, and we do not use them as demand signals to factories you did not ask us to approach. How long does approval take, and what do you need from me? One business day in most cases. We need a verifiable company, a business email on a company domain, and a stated requirement. If something is missing we tell you what it is rather than leaving the application open. Can I request a specific factory that is not in your directory? Yes. Many buyers arrive with a factory name from a trade show or a previous order. We run the same 4 verification gates against it and tell you what we find, including when the answer is that we cannot verify it.
