Most of the money lost on a tackle programme is lost in the same four places. None of them are exotic, and all of them are cheaper to prevent than to fix. Hardware substitution survives because "owner-style hook" is a description, not a specification. Colour drift survives because a photograph cannot be measured. The sample gap survives because a hand-built sample is genuinely what the engineer intended. The unstated basis survives because both quotes look like a number.
