# About Cheery Supply Chain | Structured Sourcing Data

> Who we are, what we publish and what we refuse to publish: verified, machine-readable supply data for Chinese fishing tackle factories.

We are a sourcing team working directly with factories in Chinese manufacturing clusters. We publish what we verify, and we keep quiet about what we have not verified yet. What does Cheery Supply Chain do? We collect supply data — capacity, materials, MOQ, price ranges with a stated basis, lead times and certifications — from factories that make fishing tackle: lures, rods and accessories. We verify each factory against 4 verification gates, publish the result in a structured form, and answer buyer enquiries against that data. We deliberately cover one category only. Verification is the expensive part of this work, and spreading it across categories would mean publishing names we have not properly checked. What is published, and what is refused? We publish verified supplier profiles and an open JSON file with the same records. We refuse to publish: unverified factories, even as a teaser; prices without a stated FOB or EXW basis; numbers we cannot trace to a source; ratings, reviews or stock levels we have not measured; personal data of any kind. The build process enforces the first two points automatically, which is why the directory can look sparse. A sparse directory that is true is worth more than a full one that is not. Where does the data come from? We use lawful sources only: authorised business-registration exports, public exhibition catalogues, industry and government publications, supplier APIs under their terms, factory websites, and our own interviews and samples. We do not circumvent technical protections on any platform, and we do not buy data of unknown origin. Who is this built for? Importers and distributors who need a supplier shortlist with real numbers rather than a photo gallery. Brands and co-packers running private-label programmes where specification consistency matters more than a one-off price. Procurement software and AI agents , which can read the same data from our JSON endpoint instead of parsing pages. Where is the project today? We are at the beginning: building the verified database, one cluster at a time, starting with flexible packaging in Hebei and tackle on the Shandong coast. The counters on our homepage are generated from the database, not from a marketing estimate. Where each part of the data comes from Every field on this site traces to one of six sources. None of it is self-reported marketing copy. Source What it establishes Sampled product catalogue Sub-categories, reference price bands and MOQ ranges, with the unit stated per row Business registration lookup That the legal entity exists, and under which registered name Customs export records That the factory has shipped, and to which markets Direct interview Capacity, MOQ, lead time and the price basis, stated by the factory Public industry reporting Cluster context, such as Weihai's share of global fishing rod output This build Aggregation, dated review stamps and the Markdown/JSON twins What does the operation look like in numbers? Operating figures, not marketing figures. Each one is checkable elsewhere on the site. Measure Figure Where to check it Verification gates per factory record 4 Verification standard Re-verification cycle 90 days Supplier directory Production clusters published 3 Tackle sourcing Sampled product listings 62 Product catalogue Sub-categories covered 12 Product catalogue Buyer enquiry reply standard 1 business day Contact What do we refuse to publish? A factory that fails any one of the 4 verification gates. A record marked "pending" —a failed record is absent, not queued. A price without its unit and its basis. A certification the factory cannot evidence. A supplier rating or a review score —we do not collect them, so we do not display them. How is the site operated? Records enter as data files, never as hand-written pages. The build applies the gates and excludes what fails. Every page is generated with a Markdown twin and a dated review stamp. Withheld record counts are published rather than hidden. Corrections re-run the gate instead of editing the field by hand. What does a normal working week look like? Records enter as data files; the build applies the 4 verification gates and excludes what fails. Withheld records are counted and published rather than hidden. Every page is regenerated with a Markdown twin and a dated review stamp. Corrections re-run the gate rather than editing a field by hand. Re-checks run on a 90-day cycle, cluster by cluster. Buyer enquiries are answered within 1 business day. What would make us wrong? A factory that passes all 4 verification gates and still ships a bad batch —verification reduces that risk, it does not remove it. A price band that is accurate at build time and stale by the time you read it. A cluster whose cost base shifts faster than the 90-day re-check cycle. A specification that is unambiguous to us and ambiguous to the factory. What does a week of verification look like in numbers? Gate 1: registration lookup, same day. Gate 2: main-business evidence, 1 to 2 days. Gate 3: customs export records, 2 to 3 days. Gate 4: structured interview, 1 day. Total: roughly 1 week per factory, then a 90-day re-check cycle for as long as it stays published. How big is the Chinese fishing tackle export market? How big is the Chinese fishing tackle export market? China exports under HS heading 9507 — fishing rods, hooks, reels and artificial bait. The largest single destination takes roughly 28% of the 2024 total — which is why the export markets already on a supplier record are worth reading before you ask for a price. Who supplies the United States? US imports under HS heading 9507 in 2024, by source country. Source: UN Comtrade reporter data for the United States, retrieved via the official API. China supplied US$538 M of it — 59% of the total, and roughly 7 times the next largest source. That concentration is why specification discipline matters more than factory discovery: the factories are not hard to find, the comparable quotation is.
